About the collaborator
Kiyumí is an integrative, psychedelic-assisted, salutogenic approach to self-inquiry and growth.
Their intention is to build a bridge between science-based, trauma-informed modalities to plant medicine traditions around the world. Through contemplative, somatic practices, kiyumí explores how to develop a deeper connection to ourselves, to others, and to the world. They offer various psilocybin-assisted programs and retreats, with an in-depth preparation and integration process, to support the psychedelic experience and other non-ordinary states of consciousness.

About the collaboration
Kim had the honor to create a healing scent for kiyumí’s psilocybin retreat, especially one associated with Gabor Maté, a trailblazer in trauma therapy, is a monumental achievement.
The integration of scent during everyones own unique psilocybin journey has its purpose as a practice for grounding in the presence and picking up the individuals when feeling too elevated. Scent can be a helpful tool as users are likely to be especially sensitive, considering their vulnerable and psilocybin-induced state. This collaboration not only enhances the therapeutic experience but also aligns Kim’s work with a cause.
Kim: “My personal highlight is that our olfactive work can shine beside Dr. Gabor Maté, a personal role model on the topics of trauma and the relationship of stress and illness. I feel honoured to contribute to a healing journey alongside such impactful thought leaders like him.”
About the process and scent exploration
The explorative process for creating the perfect scent for our collaboration took several months. After 9 iterations we created the final scent design. Followed by producing the branded roll on, filling into the bottles and handing out to all participants. Our final scent creation had to be tested by the community first to make sure not to overwhelm the participants with stimuli.
This healing scent is a grounding force. Experiences a sense of calm and heightened creativity as the fragrance gently soothes away hecticness, allowing your inner magic to flow freely, while your physical self is rooted deeply in the spirit of Sandalwood. Hints of vetiver, a root that anchors the soul, and helps you ground. A small infusion of pink pepper and palo santo brings depth and allure. Embrace your spiritual journey and allow yourself to wander openly, thanks to the hint of orange, into this sensory immersion.
