Agápe - Shades of Orange
”With the energy of Orange we created our own scents guided by your sensory intelligence to bathe in and reconnect to our sacral, the energy center of sex, pleasure, and creativity, whenever you desire.”
Scent is a beautiful way to anchor in the present moment, your present. To engage with life on a sensory level and become intimate with the subtle nuances of the inner self through your senses.
The concept
What forces are the architects of your daily experience? How freely do you dance the dance? Do you allow for the polarities to co-exist?
Introducing the Energy of Orange, an event that interprets the energy center of the sacral chakra.
The chakra is located in the lower abdomen, about two inches below the navel. The sacral chakra stands for creativity, sexuality, the reproductive organs, and emotional balance.
What we explored
The co-created event Agápe with in_carnation and Kim Gerlach was focused on the sacral chakra which was associated with the color orange.
We immersed in a spatial and sensory experience that allows everyone to reflect on where they sit in relation to the chosen themes.
The decoration, the warm lighted atmosphere and the scents were created around that specific theme with thoughtful intention. A visual representation of a river going through the center of the circle and flowing around the scent stations represents the element water. Constantly being in the flow with the water, in the flow of the river, and in flow within yourself.

About the collaborator
in_carnation, which consists of Nastassja Salem and Paula Viejo, curates events which explores one of the seven human energy center, also known as chakras. Every chakra represents a specific color. The theme of the event expresses itself through the respectively adressed energy center and its color.
Our contribution
Co-hostess Kim Gerlach guided everyone through an olfactive exploration journey and curated eight different scents adapted to the theme-related topic of Agápe.
By opening the atmosphere of the creative brains through a breathwork journey, she allowed the participants to settle, feel, and root down into their own energy field.
After consciously breathing, the participants were able to create and mix their own chakra-awakening scent. The elegant symbiosis of smell, breath, and creative set design represented a perfect contemplation of stimulating all the senses as well as connecting to the essence within.
